LUKE DOUCET AT POPKOMM - Music afficionados from all over
the world gathered at the Aufsturz Klub in Berlin during Popkomm to
catch the gorgeous sets of music by Luke Doucet at the Six Shooter
Records label showcase, which also included Jason Plumb, Royal Wood,
and Melissa McClelland.
LUKE DOUCET AT THE AMERICANA MUSIC CONFERENCE - Luke
recently played in Nashville, TN, where Luke Doucet took Music City by
storm. In an event sponsored by Six Shooter Records and Starfish
Entertainment, Luke shared the stage with Melissa McClelland, Justin
Rutledge, and Jim Cuddy trading songs and high fives, backed ably by
hot sauce guru Rich Levesque on bass and Glenn Milchem + Ken Coomer on
drums. He also played a midnight set of his own at his favourite
Nashville haunt, The Basement.

The Red Door Shelter provides safe and supportive emergency housing
to individuals and families in need of refuge from domestic violence
and to those who find themselves without accommodation. It assists
residents in their efforts to establish a stable life outside the
shelter through education, counseling,community services and advocacy
on their behalf.

Bob Harris BBC Radio 2 - 9th June Saturday 11pm to 2am -
NXNE special with live sessions, guests and interviews from Toronto and
numbers recorded at the special 'Bob Harris Presents...' gig happening

Paste picks 'Broken' as "Top Record" in 2006 - we think
Paste's taste in music is top drawer; they recently picked Luke's

Juno Hockey / Saskatoon shows - Luke "Pads" Doucet recently
tended goal in Saskatoon for Juno Cup Hockey and managed to stave off
most bullying from the likes of rougher-uppers Jim Cuddy, Sam Roberts
and Chris Murphy.
Luke wows Nashville press - The growing legion of fans in
Nashville had a two nice spreads to read up on Luke. Nashville's Scene

All the Rage - 'Q' is the theme of the day - Luke's licks
were recently called into action for a new CBC arts show called 'Q'.
Luke wrote up a twangy surfy rock theme for the program, hosted by Jian
Ghomeshi every weekday on Radio 1 from 2-3:30 and 10-11.
Recording new album - Luke has been hard at work in
Vancouver, Nashville and elsewhere writing and recording material for a
new record. For those of you who need a small taste, pick up his recent

SXSW action - shows, parties, etc. - Luke kicked up the dust
during SXSW in March where he played a rockin' showcase at Light Bar
and some stellar parties, including the opening festivities at the
Canadian Blast BBQ, The Six Shooter/Mint Hootenanny and the RedEye
party chez Yard Dog.
Back in Canada / May tour dates - One of the hardest working
musicians Canada has to offer, Luke is back from Nashville and up and
